Reson8 is a cloud communications platform that provides SMS communication software and service for businesses and APIs for software developers to add communications to web and mobile applications.

Reson8 was developed and is managed by Unique Computer Systems.

We understand that when you use our Reson8 platform you are placing your trust in us to handle your data appropriately, including the personal information of you and your end users.

As a communications services provided, Unique Computer Systems, you will be providing us with your personal information when you setup a customer account with Reson8. In the case of processing your marketing campaigns and operational messages, Reson8 may have some or all of the personal information data of your target audience and customers that you share with Reson8. Customer's or users that use or interact with your applications that you have connected to using Reson8's API - this may include both your Customer Usage Data (e.g., communications metadata) and your Customer Content (e.g., the contents of communications).

As a service provider, we are responsible for processing data for your customer's data in cases where we deliver SMS messages for you.

Processing Customer Accounts and Data

Unique Computer Systems, through Reson8, collects and processes customer's personal data in below scenarios

• When a potential customer visits Reson8's public-facing website, Reson8.ae, signs up for a Customer account, or makes a request to receive information about Reson8 or our services and products, like a Reson8 whitepaper or a newsletter
• When you contact Reson8's Sales Team or Customer Support Team and we call this personal information Customer Account Data.

Data protection (aka privacy) laws in certain jurisdictions, like the European Economic Area (EEA), differentiate between "controllers" and "processors" of personal information. A controller decides why and how to process personal information.

A processor processes personal information on behalf of a controller based on the controller's instructions. When Reson8 processes your Customer Account Data, the Customer that shares data with Reson8 for processing is acting as a controller.

Unique Computer Systems can be a data controller and data processor in different scenarios.

We are a data controller in the sense that we are storing personal data such as your email address and billing address etc.

We also are responsible for processing data for our customers in cases where we deliver SMS messages for them, which makes a data processor as well.

We also use our Customer Account Data to further our legitimate interests to

• Understand who our customers and potential customers are and their interests in our product and services
• Manage our relationship with you and other customers.
• Carry out core business operations such as accounting and filing taxes, and help detect, prevent, or investigate security incidents, fraud and other abuse and/or misuse of our products and services.

When you visit our website(s), sign up for a Reson8 account or request more information about Reson8, we collect information automatically using tracking technologies, like cookies, and through web forms where you type in your information. We collect this information to provide you with what you request through the web form, to learn more about who is interested in our products and services, and to improve navigation experience on our pages.

In other cases, you may also share personal information, like your contact information, with a member of our Sales or Customer Support Team when you communicate with them. We keep a record of this interaction.

When you sign up for a Reson8 account, we ask for certain information like your contact details and interest in our products, so we can communicate with you and so you can pay for our products and services. We also collect some information automatically, like your IP address, when you log in to your account or when your software application built on Reson8 makes requests to our APIs. We use this to understand who is using our services and how, and to detect, prevent and investigate fraud, abuse, or security incidents.

We may collect information about you, as our customer, from publicly-available sources so we can understand our customer base better.

Reson8 will store your Customer Account Data as long as needed to provide you with our services and to operate our business. If you ask Reson8 to delete specific personal information from your Customer Account Data, we will honor this request unless deleting that information prevents us from carrying out necessary business functions, like billing for our services, calculating taxes, or conducting required audits. You can request for any changes to your account by emailing reson8support@ucssolutions.com or contacting our Customer Support contact details.

Processing Customer's Shared Data

Customers that sign up for accounts on Reson8 may share their end users details or their target customer's data for sending them marketing or operational communications. To simplify, we will jointly refer to these data as Shared Data hereinafter. This Shared Data typically shows up on Reson8's platform in a one of the following ways

• Communications-related personal information about your end users, like your end user's phone numbers for number-based communications, IP addresses for IP-based communications, or device tokens for OTP (One-Time Password), 2FA (Two Factor Authentication) or push notifications, show up in our systems when you use or intend to use this information to contact your end user through use of our products and services.
• Your end user's personal information may show up in "friendly names", which are strings you provide, if you choose to include your end user's personal information as part of a string.
• Your end user's personal information may also be contained in the content of communications you (or your end users) send or receive using Reson8's products and services.

We use the above Shared Data and shared content to provide services to you and to carry out necessary functions of our business as a communications service provider. We do not sell your end user's personal information and we do not share your end user's information with third parties for those third parties' own business interests.

In some cases, we may also use third-party service providers to, process and store your information in the United States, Canada, Japan, the European Union and other countries.

We do not sell or allow your Shared Data to be used by third parties for their own marketing purposes, unless you ask us to do this or give us your consent to do this. Further, we do not sell your end user's personal information for their own marketing or other purposes, unless you instruct us to do so.

When you use our account portal, or our other products and services, personal information of you and your end users processed by Reson8 may be transferred to the United Arab Emirates, where our primary processing facilities are located, and possibly to other countries where we or our service providers operate. These transfers will often be made in connection with routing your communications in the most efficient way.

Data Protection

We use appropriate security measures to protect the security of your personal information both online and offline. These measures vary based on the sensitivity of the personal information we collect, process and store and the current state of technology. We also take measures to ensure service providers that process personal data on our behalf also have appropriate security controls in place.
